Versatile director SS Rajamouli made his debut long back but he directed 10 films till date and all his movies ended up as massive hits at the box-office. He reached huge heights that none of the other Tollywood directors could reach near him.
Rajamouli directed movies with stars, leading actors and even upcoming actors in Tollywood and most of his films went on to be remade in other languages. After achieving a strong fan base, he brought out his dream project Bahubali on board as the film needed huge budget. There were many leading production houses to fund the movie.
He has done one year of pre-production work of the movie and he even trained the lead actors specially before the shoot started. The movie has been titled as Bahubali: The Beginning and Prabhas, Rana Daggubati have been roped in to play the lead roles.
Rajamouli has taken personal care right from their bodies to their costumes and the regular shoot started in 2014. Baahubali: The Beginning has been made on a budget of Rs 160 crores which is huge for a South Indian movie. The makers decided to release the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. Baahubali: The Beginning was one of the most awaited films.
Leaving everyone in surprise the film ended up collecting Rs 600 crores (gross) across the world which is huge. The movie surprised the audience across the globe and it has been even screened in many International film festivals.
The war episodes along with the visual effects and the performances by the lead actors along with SS Rajamouli’s flawless direction are said to be the major highlights of the film. After a stupendous hit with the first installment, Rajamouli has taken a small break and started working on the second installment of the movie. The movie has been titled as Baahubali: The Conclusion and started rolling from November last year.
Baahubali 2 features Prabhas, Rana, Anushka and Tamannah in the lead roles. Baahubali: The Conclusion has now completed 50% of its shoot and the makers are currently shooting in Gachibowli, Hyderabad where a special forest set has been erected.
Some crucial episodes of the movie will be shot over here and the makers have kept a serious track as no unknown can come inside and capture the glimpses of the set. Rajamouli revealed that Baahubali 2 will not release in 2016. The regular shoot of the movie is expected to be completed by the end of October and the makers decided to spend more than 6 months for the post-production work.
Top analyst and critic Taran Adarsh revealed the official release date of the movie. Baahubali 2 will now hit the screens on April 14th 2017 during Good Friday. Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda are producing Bahubali: The Conclusion on Arka Media Works banner.
